The MEA is the fundamental single element for PEM polymeric membrane fuel-cells assembling. These element is composed by the Nafion® polymeric base and by a thin layer for both sides of the membrane formed by an hot pressed catalysed solution of carbon and precious metals. These catalysts differ from each fuel used in the fuel-cell: hydrogen, methanol, formic acid, ethanol, etc..
