Planning and risk Analysis

The revamping of the electrolysis system with ultrapure grade purifies: it begins with planning and risk analysis.

The system has been equipped with a new purification unit more powerful than the previous.

The old electrolysis unit was still working and it has been refurbished in terms of software and control electronics.

Compression System

A new compression system has been added to the system, so you can store hydrogen at 30 bar, starting from 5 bar at the exit of the electrolyzer.

Providing 30 bar hydrogen requires a compression energy.

Hydride storage system with exchangers

The metal hydride storage becomes more efficient with the conditioning circuit that heats or cools as needed.

Various metal alloys and intermetallic compounds react with hydrogen to form metal hydrides. Conveniently controlling temperature and pressure, you can adjust the direction of the chemical reaction. In other words, metals can be charged and discharged with hydrogen.

The development of a hydrogen storage tank based on metal hydrides has therefore allowed, depending on the need, the regulation of temperatures.

Replacement of the Fuel-Cell System

The Fuel-cell system has been completely renovated, installing a 1 kW cell connected to an electronic load installed directly in the same rack cabinet where the cell is housed.
