The H2 SENSOR detector is suitable for installation in industrial areas and ATEX zones; thanks to its explosion-proof housing, it can be installed in zone 1 and, if equipped with the dust adapter, in zone 21. The sensitive element is housed in the stainless steel head. Developed in different versions depending on size: the “head body 2” model has a diameter of 40 mm, while the “head body 3” model has a diameter of 48 mm.

A catalytic sensor is used to detect flammable substances, combining excellent linearity up to 100% LFL with fast response times. The detector has a 12-24 Vdc power supply and a standard 4-20 mA signal output on three wires. RS485 serial communication and a 1 or 3 relay card can be added as options.

The housing is made of aluminum with a total footprint of 120 x 162 x 90 mm when equipped with a 2-body head, or 120 x 184 x 90 mm when using a 3-body head. All inputs are threaded with 3/4" NPT threads. The detector can be ATEX marked as follows:

The H2 SENSOR detector has SIL2 certified hardware and SIL3 software; by creating a redundant system, the hardware also has a SIL3 safety level.
